Background: Ludovic (a.k.a. “Ludo”, a.k.a. “Vic”) Larouche has led a serviceable, if nondescript, career in the Miami Metropolitan Police Department. His attention to detail sometimes hampers his output, in terms of arrests and filing necessary paperwork but the results he delivers are always by-the-book.

However, unbeknownst to his coworkers or employer, Ludovic is actually a fence for illicit substances flowing into Miami, and provides a valuable source of narcotics, inside-information on police activities, and, most valuable of all, the occasional turning of a blind eye to Winter’s activities in Little Haiti.

Description: Ludovic has almost comically long, thin limbs which can carry him for miles without tiring, on the rare occasions that he feels the need to run. Most of the time, he prefers to keep his nose to the grindstone, and make absolutely certain he’s found every last scrap of information he can before he moves on.

His mortal guise is that of a black man in his middle-thirties with deep brown skin and saggy, tired-looking features. His ears are very large, and seem to flop around a bit. In his true form, Ludovic is a floppy-eared bloodhound, with deep, sad-looking eyes and sagging skin that hangs from his body in folds.

Storytelling Hints: Ludovic appears slow and comical, but he is actually quite perceptive, and fairly intelligent for a Beast. His insistence on doing one thing at a time, and the most important first, often makes others think him slow or distracted, but he’s merely giving his analytical mind time to process the data he’s collected. Ludovic doesn’t like to rush into things, and has found that by doing things slowly enough, people often leave him alone to do it at his own pace, like he wanted in the first place.
