Crone’s Fire (•)
Spheres of unearthly brilliance hurl from the changeling’s outstretched hand smashing into his foes to sear flesh and bone alike.
Cost: 1 Glamour
Dice Pool: Autumn Mantle + Occult – Highest Dexterity
Catch: The changeling stands in a area devoid of active cameras or visual recording devices.
Dramatic Failure: The lights of Arcadia shine too brightly for the changeling to direct. Allies of the changeling are subject to the attack -their dexterity
Failure: The lights of Arcadia refuse to be directed by the changeling.
Success: The lights of Arcadia surge from the changeling hands equal to the number of successes causing 1 point of lethal damage.
Exceptional Success: Cruel Arcadia heaps insult on injury: the spheres leave unsightly burns behind giving the target a -1 to Social rolls.
Shining Weapons (••)
Cost: 1 Glamour
Dice Pool: Wyrd + Mantle Autumn
Catch: The weapons already have connection to Arcadia. (May not be applied to cold Iron.)
Dramatic Failure: The weapon is surrounded by the lights of Arcadia leaving it painful to wield. -1 to all attack rolls with the weapon.
Success: The changeling’s weapon is infused with the light and of Arcadia. This grants the changeling a +2 to all rolls dealing with attack with this weapon. Lasts until sunrise.
Exceptional Success: The effects grant +2 to all rolls dealing with attack or defense while wielding this weapon.
+1 The changeling wielding the weapon has carried the weapon for a long length of time.
–1 The changeling wielding the weapon is unfamiliar with it.
Wicker Man (•••)
The changeling burns an effigy of his or her foe in a public place. The changeling need not fashion the effigy himself.
Cost: 1 Glamour
Dice Pool: Presence + Occult – opponents’ highest resistance trait
Catch: The target is famous and well known by appearance
Dramatic Failure: “If you can’t say anything nice, Don’t anything at all”. The changeling who invoked the clause is rendered mute until the next sunset.
Failure: The protections are not removed.
Success: The effigy blazes and is consumed removing the benefits of armor from his foes, inflicting a -2 penalty to armor and Defense until the next sunrise.
Exceptional Success: The effigy burns with such brilliance even the Wyrd is set ablaze. Foes are temporarily robbed of their ability to invoke clauses of their own for a number of hours equal to the success – their highest resistance trait.
Fallen Star (••••)
The changeling channels the fate-twisting power of a falling star to protect her allies and confound her foes. This clause may only be invoked once per week. Invoking the clause more than once in a week will result in the changeling receiving a -1 to all social rolls for 24 hours.
Cost: 2 Glamour
Dice Pool: Occult + Presence
Catch: A mortal child has wished on a star in the character’s presence in the past week and told them of this wish.
Dramatic Failure: The next request for help made by the character or those in motley oath with him/her will be denied for no good reason.
Failure: The changeling gains no special help on their next request for aid.
Success: The party fulfilling the request finds the equivalent of an extra dot in aid/resources to give to the beleaguered motley.
Exceptional Success: The “wish” must be fulfilled the powers of fate decree it so. Even those unlikely to lend aid (though not those who are openly hostile to the changeling) feel a compulsion to help make the changeling’s wish a reality.
Ban: 1 week
+1 The wish or request is an unselfish one that benefits many or that the changeling invoking the clause stands to gain nothing from.
–1 The request by the changeling is selfish or the changeling him/herself stands to be the only one to benefit.
Arcadian Brilliance (•••••)
The lights of Arcadia are not the gentle rays of our own sun but blazing and intense rays, capable of searing flesh from bone.
Prerequisites: Mantle (Autumn) ••••
Cost: 2 Glamour
Dice Pool: Occult + Autumn Mantle – Target’s highest Stamina
Dramatic Failure: The light of Arcadia does not always come where or when it is expected. The changeling invoking the clause is temporarily blinded by an unexpected light that only they are unfortunate enough to see.
Success: The changeling causes a dazzling ray of liquid fire to surge from his or her hand towards the target, inflicting two lethal damage per the invoker’s Wyrd, minus 1 point of damage per the targets Wyrd level.
Exceptional Success: The light of Arcadia sinks deep into the flesh of the target, wracking them with blisters, chills, and fevers till the next sunrise imposing a -2 on all rolls requiring concentration.
+2 The target is exposing a great deal of skin.
+1 The target has on darkly colored clothing.
–1 The target is wearing especially reflective clothes.
